Easy & Healthy 3 Ingredient Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

If you are looking for an easy oatmeal raisin cookie recipe with few ingredients? Then these 3 Ingredient Oatmeal Raisin Cookies will not disappoint!

I’ve mentioned before that, for the most part, we try to stay away from added sugar in our diet.

Even natural sugars are generally used in limited amounts.

But just because we try to stay away from sugar doesn’t mean that my family doesn’t crave sweet treats once in a while! (Ok, I admit, I have a sweet tooth sometimes too! :D)

This is why I try to keep ingredients on hand so we can make a quick, healthy snack 😉

So, if you find yourself wanting something sweet but don’t want all of the sugar and junky ingredients in store-bought cookies, give this easy 3 ingredient dessert a try.

FAQ’s And Baking Tips

Here are a few frequently asked questions and helpful tips I have learned after making this easy cookie recipe.

Hopefully, this will help if you find you have questions 🙂

1. Should I Use Old-Fashioned Oats Or Quick Oats?

I usually use old-fashioned oats because it helps create a nice chewy cookie. You can use quick oats but the texture will be a little different. It will still taste good though! Just be sure to stay away from steel-cut oats, using those will definitely not give you the best oatmeal raisin cookies (at least with this recipe).

2. Do These Cookies Spread While Baking?

Not really. These cookies tend to bake pretty much the way you drop dough on the cookie sheet. If you would like a cookie that looks a little more like traditional oatmeal cookies you can definitely shape them like that.

3. Does Cooking Spray Or Parchment Paper Work Best?

While there are many cooking spray options (some good, some not so good), I don’t personally use them due to the often found additives, propellants that cause health and environmental problems, and GMOs. I prefer to use unbleached parchment paper or silicone mats instead. I feel like the cookies are less likely to stick and baking sheets are easier to clean as well.

    1. Hi Rhea,

We usually use what we have. A few times we’ve used quick oats and other times it’s been old-fashioned oats. The texture/consistency is a little different but we didn’t mind 🙂
