Homeopathy: A Natural Treatment For Adrenal Fatigue
Homeopathy is a safe, gentle method of healing that was developed in Germany more than 200 years ago by Samuel Hahnneman.
Homeopathy is based on two theories:
- “Like cures like”—this is the idea that a disease or illness can be cured by a substance that produces similar symptoms in a healthy person
- “Law of minimum dose”—this theory states that the lower the dose, the greater the effectiveness of a remedy. Many homeopathic remedies are so very diluted that none of the original substance remains.
Homeopathic remedies are made from natural substances, extremely safe, affordable, do not have the side effects often associated with prescription medications, and are FDA regulated.
Did you know?
In 1900, there were 100 homeopathic hospitals and 22 homeopathic medical schools in the United States?

You may be wondering how homeopathy can help with symptoms of adrenal fatigue.
Well, in my personal opinion, homeopathy is one of the best (and safest!) treatments for adrenal fatigue.
In fact, for some people it is the best treatment to start with because if a person is very weak or sensitive even natural herbal remedies can be too stimulating.
Also, homeopathy is a very personalized treatment so each individual and their particular symptoms are taken into consideration when choosing a remedy.
What I mean is, two women may have a diagnosis of adrenal fatigue but depending on their symptoms, constitution, and even emotional state, they could require different homeopathic remedies.
By addressing your individual symptoms (which is your body’s way of speaking to you) you are giving your body what it needs which can aid in it’s healing!
Before we get to the best homeopathic remedies for adrenal fatigue, I just want to mention that you can definitely use the remedies below that most closely matches your symptoms, but if you have a complicated case or have tried a few but not found the relief you were hoping for, it is a good idea to seek out a professional homeopath that can help.

A feeling of weakness or trembling. This could be constant or come and go.
There is often feelings of anticipation, apprehension, fear, or anxiety.

Feelings of grief and despair may be experienced also.
It is common for people fitting this remedy to have headaches, irregular pulse, and sweat more than normal (especially in the morning or at night). There may also be loss of hair and vision changes.

Cell Salts For Adrenal Fatigue
You may be wondering what cell salts are and why they are separated from the homeopathic remedies for adrenal fatigue already listed.
In short, cell salts work a little differently in the body than other homeopathic remedies.
A homeopathic remedy invokes the body’s healing response by stimulating the body’s own defenses.
Cell salts on the other hand are a vital cell foods that actually reinforce, strengthen and nourish at a cellular level.
Cell salts, which are minerals in homeopathic potencies, work by helping cells in the body to better assimilate and utilize the minerals compounds.
These are low potency, slow-acting, and generally taken a 2-4 times each day for a period of weeks.

FAQ’s
Have a few questions about adrenal fatigue and natural treatment options?
I’m no doctor but I can tell you what’s worked for myself and others I know 🙂
1.How is adrenal fatigue diagnosed?
That’s a great question with a not-so-clear answer. See, many endocrinologists (and other medical professionals) don’t actually recognize adrenal fatigue as a condition.
And it is true that many people don’t actually have fatigued adrenal glands, so the name is somewhat misleading, but the symptoms are quite real!
As far as coming up with a diagnosis for this group of symptoms from excessive or chronic stress (AKA adrenal fatigue), there are a few tests you (or your health care professional) can consider:
- A careful review of symptoms
- HTMA test
- Saliva test
- Urine test
- Blood test
or you can even start with a few easy at-home tests if you’d like 😉
2.Can you heal adrenal fatigue naturally?
Yes! In most cases, people are able to recover with the use of a few natural remedies, rest, and simple lifestyle changes (although admittedly, simple isn’t always easy!)
Please keep in mind though, full healing can take time and setbacks are not uncommon.
That’s why working with a good health practitioner can be very helpful at times.
3. What is the best treatment for adrenal fatigue?
Just like any other health condition, the best treatment is one that feels right to you, addresses the root cause of your symptoms, and ideally is the most gentle but effective.
Since adrenal fatigue is essentially a condition caused by chronic or excessive stress, the cause will be different for each person, and so will the treatment.
Getting enough rest, homeopathic remedies, herbs, stress-relieving practices, addressing hormone and mineral imbalances, and taking time to make necessary lifestyle changes can all be very helpful.

Hello!
Hormonal changes can definitely be a cause of adrenal fatigue! And I agree, homeopathy can be so helpful 🙂 As far as knowing if you have adrenal fatigue or Cushing’s, your health care provider should be able to confirm (or rule out) a diagnosis of Cushing’s disease.
I do have Cushings disease. Is there any homeopathic remedy which could help me please????
Hi Linda,
Thanks so much for reaching out. I know that homeopathy has helped people with many health issues, but I can’t give specific medical advice here. If you’re interested in homeopathic remedies for Cushing’s disease I would definitely suggest that you reach out to an experienced professional homeopath, they would be able to take your case, a thorough health history, and guide you to appropriate remedies.
I hope you find the right treatment!
